This looks like Wikipedia - why does this exist?

Yes, this website looks a bit like Wikipedia because it uses MediaWiki. We also want to take a lot of cues from Wikipedia so we are inheriting their policies and guidelines, with only the exceptions described immediately below. The fundamental of Wikipedia are summarised in

There are two ways that we intentionally differ from Wikipedia:

• We are focused on financial modelling. Wikipedia's notability guidelines do not apply here.
• We allow original research. Wikipedia's 'no original research' policy does not apply here. For the avoidance of doubt, Wikipedia's copyright policy and plagiarism guideline do apply here.
